The American Cancer Society maintains a stellar research program. The winner of the most recent Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Dr. Carolyn Bertozzi, the first female ACS-funded researcher to e awarded this honor and the 50th ACS-funded researcher to win the Nobel Prize. Dr. Bertozzi has not only done ground-breaking work, but she has mentored eight ACS-funded researchers since 2001.
